Advance parole

A travel document issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that allows certain foreign nationals to re-enter the United States after traveling abroad without abandoning their application for adjustment of status. This document is typically granted to individuals who have a pending application for lawful permanent residence. Traveling without advance parole can result in the denial of the adjustment application.
