Chapter 11 bankruptcy

A form of bankruptcy that allows businesses, and sometimes individuals with substantial debt, to reorganize their financial affairs while continuing to operate. The debtor proposes a plan of reorganization to repay creditors over time, which must be approved by the court and creditors. This process aims to rehabilitate the debtor rather than liquidate assets.
