Enjoin

To legally prohibit a person or entity from performing a specific action, or to command them to take a specific action, by means of a court order. This order, known as an injunction, is issued by a court to prevent irreparable harm that could not be adequately compensated by monetary damages. Injunctions can be temporary, pending further legal proceedings, or permanent, following a final judgment on the merits of a case.
