A set of criteria used by investors to evaluate a company's performance beyond traditional financial metrics. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors assess a company's impact on the environment, its relationships with employees and communities, and its leadership and internal controls. These criteria are increasingly considered in investment decisions and corporate sustainability reporting.
