Finder's fee

A commission paid to an intermediary who facilitates a transaction by bringing together two or more parties. This fee is compensation for identifying and introducing a potential business opportunity, such as a buyer and seller, or a company seeking investment and a capital provider. The amount of the finder's fee is usually a percentage of the total transaction value or a fixed sum, agreed upon in advance by contract.
