Habitual criminal

A legal designation for an individual who has been convicted of multiple felony offenses over a period of time. Many jurisdictions have habitual offender laws, also known as three-strikes laws, which mandate harsher penalties, including extended prison sentences, for such individuals. These laws aim to deter repeat offenders and protect public safety.
