Litigator

A trial attorney who represents clients in civil or criminal lawsuits, handling all phases of the litigation process from investigation and pleadings through trial and appeal. Their work includes drafting motions, conducting discovery, taking depositions, arguing in court, and negotiating settlements on behalf of their client. Unlike a transactional lawyer who focuses on agreements and contracts, a litigator's practice is centered on disputes and their resolution within the court system.
