Muniment of title

A document or collection of documents that serves as evidence of ownership or title to property. These records, such as deeds, wills, or court judgments, demonstrate the chain of ownership and the legal right to possess the property. In some jurisdictions, a will can be admitted to probate as a muniment of title without full estate administration.
