Palimony

Financial support paid by one partner to another after the termination of a long-term, non-marital relationship, similar to alimony in a divorce. This obligation arises from an express or implied contract between the parties, often concerning shared assets or contributions to the relationship. Courts in some jurisdictions recognize palimony claims, particularly when one partner has been financially dependent on the other.
