The Bluebook

A widely used style guide that prescribes the most common system of legal citation in the United States. Officially titled The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, it provides rules for citing cases, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources in legal documents and scholarly articles. The guide is published by the law reviews of Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and the University of Pennsylvania.
