A citation directive, from the Latin for "here and there," indicating that a particular idea, term, or reference appears frequently throughout a cited work or a section of it. It is used when a concept is so pervasive in a source that citing every individual page number would be impractical. The Bluebook, a widely used citation guide, advises against its use in favor of more specific locators.
