Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003530
The total volume of water that flows from a drainage basin over the course of a year, typically measured in cubic meters or acre-feet. This represents the portion of precipitation that eventually reaches streams, rivers, and lakes, after accounting for evaporation, transpiration, and infiltration.
