Runoff cycle

The continuous movement of water over land surfaces, originating from precipitation that does not infiltrate the ground or evaporate. This water flows into streams, rivers, and eventually oceans or other bodies of water, contributing to the broader hydrological cycle. It encompasses surface runoff, subsurface runoff, and groundwater flow that ultimately reaches surface water.
