ARFOT

An aviation weather forecast, known as an Area Forecast, that covers a large geographical region and is valid for a specified time period. It details weather phenomena considered hazardous to aircraft, including cloud layers, visibility, turbulence, icing, and the freezing level, for use by pilots in flight planning. In the United States, the text-based ARFOT was officially replaced by the Graphical Forecasts for Aviation (GFA) tool.
