Civil twilight

The period of time after sunset or before sunrise when the sun is between 0 and 6 degrees below the horizon. During civil twilight, there is enough natural light for outdoor activities without artificial illumination, and the brightest stars and planets become visible. It is the brightest phase of twilight.
