Dry season
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005164
A recurring period of the year characterized by significantly reduced precipitation, often associated with specific climatic zones like tropical and subtropical regions. During this time, atmospheric conditions, such as stable air masses or shifts in prevailing winds, inhibit the formation of rain-producing clouds. Many regions with a dry season also experience a distinct wet season.
