Dust

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005185

Fine, solid particles suspended in the atmosphere, originating from natural processes like wind erosion of soil or volcanic eruptions, or from anthropogenic activities such as industrial emissions. These particles have diameters less than 500 micrometers and can remain airborne for extended periods, affecting visibility and air quality.
