Interactive image processing
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006582
The manipulation and analysis of digital images by a human operator in real-time, often used in meteorology for interpreting satellite and radar data. This allows forecasters to enhance features, apply filters, and extract specific information from imagery to aid in weather analysis and prediction. Modern meteorological workstations heavily rely on these capabilities.
