The immediate analysis and interpretation of meteorological data as it is received, without substantial delay. This allows for rapid decision-making and the generation of up-to-the-minute forecasts or warnings. Examples include the processing of radar reflectivity data to detect severe weather or satellite imagery for cloud tracking.
