Isanabat
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006668
A line on a meteorological chart, typically a time-height cross-section, that connects points of equal upward vertical wind speed. These lines are used to analyze the vertical structure and evolution of atmospheric phenomena, such as fronts or convective systems, by mapping the intensity of anabatic motion. The unit of measure for an isanabat is velocity, such as centimeters per second.
