Long-range forecast

A weather prediction that extends beyond approximately 10 to 14 days, typically covering periods of weeks, months, or even seasons. These forecasts focus on general trends and probabilities of temperature and precipitation anomalies rather than specific daily weather events. They are based on large-scale atmospheric and oceanic patterns, such as El Niño-Southern Oscillation.
