Pressure jump detector

A specialized instrument designed to sense and record abrupt increases in atmospheric pressure. These detectors are often used in severe weather monitoring to identify the passage of thunderstorm outflow boundaries or other mesoscale phenomena. They can provide early indications of approaching gust fronts or squall lines.
