Sawtooth wave
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008669
A type of non-sinusoidal waveform characterized by a linear rise or fall followed by an abrupt return to the starting value, resembling the teeth of a saw. In atmospheric science, this pattern can describe certain oscillatory phenomena or fluctuations in data, such as temperature or wind speed, over time. It is often observed in turbulent flows or in signals from certain meteorological sensors.
