Snowmelt flood

A type of flood caused by the rapid melting of accumulated snow, often exacerbated by warm temperatures, rainfall, or frozen ground. This influx of water overwhelms river channels and drainage systems, leading to widespread inundation. Snowmelt floods are a common occurrence in temperate and cold regions during spring.
