TT
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009827
An abbreviation for Total Totals index, a stability index used in meteorology to assess the potential for thunderstorm development. It combines the temperature at 850 hPa and 500 hPa with the dew point at 850 hPa to derive a single value. A higher TT index generally indicates greater atmospheric instability and a higher likelihood of convective activity.
