Water equivalent of snow cover

The total amount of liquid water contained within an entire snowpack, expressed as a depth of water. This measurement integrates the depth and density of all layers within the snow cover. It is a fundamental variable for hydrological models, providing insight into potential runoff volumes during melt events.
