WMO codes

Standardized alphanumeric codes developed by the World Meteorological Organization for the efficient and unambiguous exchange of meteorological observations and forecasts. These codes allow for the global dissemination of weather data, including surface observations, upper-air soundings, and satellite information, in a compact format. Examples include SYNOP for surface observations and TEMP for upper-air data.
