Term · Oncology and biomedicine · MLC-T-ONC-005068
A plant-based diet that is high in unprocessed carbohydrates and low in fat and processed carbohydrates. A macrobiotic diet consists mostly of whole grains and organic vegetables, including fermented vegetables and beans. The components of the diet may vary according to a person’s age, sex, existing health issues, level of activity, and the climate where they live. There is no proof that a macrobiotic diet can slow, cure, or keep diseases such as cancer from coming back.
