Relating to a project, such as a new semiconductor fab, constructed on a previously undeveloped site with no existing buildings or infrastructure. This approach allows for a custom-designed facility layout and process flow without the constraints of a pre-existing structure. A greenfield project is distinct from a brownfield project, which involves modifying or upgrading an existing facility.
