PHA
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000274
Polyhydroxyalkanoates, a class of biodegradable polyesters produced by bacteria as energy storage compounds. These bioplastics are gaining interest in 3D printing as sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based polymers. PHA materials can be processed into filaments for fused deposition modeling and offer good biocompatibility for medical applications.
