Production part

A component manufactured for use in a final, commercially available product, as opposed to a prototype or a tool. These parts are fabricated using a validated and repeatable manufacturing process that meets all design, quality, and performance specifications. Production parts made with additive manufacturing must adhere to the same quality control standards, such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), as those made with conventional methods.
