Tool path
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000387
The programmed trajectory that a print head, laser, or other manufacturing tool follows to create a part layer by layer in an additive manufacturing process. This path is generated by slicing software from a 3D model and dictates where material is deposited or solidified. The tool path directly affects print quality and build time.
