Slicing software
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000356
A computer program that converts a 3D digital model, typically in an STL file format, into a series of thin, two-dimensional layers or slices. This software also generates the toolpaths and instructions for the 3D printer to follow during the additive manufacturing process. It defines parameters such as layer height, infill density, print speed, and support structure generation.
