Triangulation
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000396
The process of representing a 3D surface as a mesh of interconnected triangles, forming the basis of many digital models used in additive manufacturing. This method approximates complex geometries with a series of flat facets, which are then used by slicing software to generate print instructions. The resolution of the mesh determines the accuracy of the printed part's surface.
