Triangulation
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006177
A surveying method for determining the positions of points by measuring angles within a network of triangles. After measuring the length of one baseline, the lengths of all other sides and the coordinates of all vertices can be calculated using trigonometric principles. This technique forms the basis for establishing large-scale control networks.
