Chord height
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000073
A geometric parameter used in the tessellation of 3D models, representing the maximum distance between the surface of the original CAD model and the faceted surface of the triangulated mesh. In additive manufacturing, a smaller chord height results in a more accurate representation of curved surfaces but increases file size and processing time. It directly impacts the smoothness of printed curves.
