Chopped fiber

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000072

Short, discontinuous strands of reinforcing material, such as carbon or glass fiber, mixed into a polymer matrix for additive manufacturing. These fibers enhance the mechanical properties of printed parts, increasing their strength and stiffness. They are commonly incorporated into filaments for fused deposition modeling or resins for vat photopolymerization.
