Travel speed
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000395
The rate at which the print head or extruder moves across the build platform when it is not actively extruding material. This speed affects the overall print time and can influence print quality by minimizing the time for oozing or stringing during non-printing movements. Typical travel speeds are significantly higher than printing speeds.
