Build envelope

The maximum three-dimensional volume available within an additive manufacturing machine for fabricating parts. This space is defined by the physical limits of the machine's build platform and the vertical travel of the print head or build plate. Parts must be designed to fit within these X, Y, and Z dimensions, which are specified in millimeters or inches.
