Facet
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000129
A flat, planar surface that approximates a curved or complex three-dimensional shape in a digital model. These small polygons, typically triangles or quadrilaterals, are used to represent the geometry of an object for 3D printing. The density and size of facets determine the smoothness of the printed surface, with more facets resulting in a finer resolution.
