Stair steps

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000363

The visible layering effect on the curved or angled surfaces of a 3D printed object, resembling a series of small steps. This phenomenon is a direct result of the layer-by-layer additive manufacturing process. Reducing the layer height can minimize the appearance of stair steps, resulting in a smoother surface finish.
