STEP file
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000364
A widely used standard for the exchange of product model data, formally known as ISO 10303. This file format allows for the transfer of complete 3D product data, including geometric and topological information, between different CAD systems. Unlike STL files, STEP files can represent solid models with precise mathematical definitions of surfaces.
