Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000428
An open-source, XML-based file format designed to describe objects for additive manufacturing processes, also known by its abbreviation AMF. It can store not only the geometry of an object but also its color, materials, textures, and internal structures like lattices or gradients within a single file. The AMF format is standardized under ISO/ASTM 52915 and was developed as a more capable successor to the simpler STL file format.
