Solid freeform fabrication

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000357

A broad category of additive manufacturing processes that create three-dimensional objects by successively adding material layer by layer, directly from a digital model. This method builds complex geometries without the need for molds or tooling, distinguishing it from subtractive manufacturing techniques. Examples include fused deposition modeling, stereolithography, and selective laser sintering.
