Fused granulate fabrication

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000147

An additive manufacturing process that extrudes thermoplastic or composite pellets through a heated nozzle to build objects layer by layer. Unlike fused deposition modeling (FDM) which uses filament, FGF directly processes raw granulate materials, often at higher deposition rates. This method is particularly suited for large-scale printing and the use of engineering-grade polymers or recycled plastics.
