Plastic jet printing

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000281

An additive manufacturing technique that uses an inkjet-like print head to deposit droplets of molten thermoplastic material onto a build platform. Each layer is then cooled and solidified before the next layer is deposited. This process builds objects layer by layer, similar to fused deposition modeling, but with potentially finer detail due to droplet control.
