Nozzle
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000251
The component in a fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer through which molten thermoplastic material is extruded onto the build plate. It heats the filament to its melting point and precisely deposits it in layers to form the desired object. Nozzle diameters are available in standard sizes, such as 0.4 mm or 0.6 mm, affecting print resolution and speed.
