Fused deposition modeling
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000145
An additive manufacturing process that builds objects by extruding a thermoplastic filament through a heated nozzle. The material is deposited layer by layer onto a build platform, solidifying upon cooling to form the desired shape. This method is widely used for prototyping and producing functional parts from materials like ABS and PLA.
