Fully dense

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000144

Describing a part produced through an additive manufacturing process that has a final density approaching 100 percent of the theoretical maximum for that material. This means the object has minimal or no internal voids or porosity after post-processing, such as sintering or hot isostatic pressing. Parts made with powder bed fusion or binder jetting technologies can achieve densities greater than 99.5 percent, making their mechanical properties comparable to those of traditionally manufactured components.
