PMMA
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000282
A transparent thermoplastic, polymethyl methacrylate, used as a build material or as a sacrificial material for creating molds. In material jetting, it serves as a build material for producing clear, glass-like prototypes with a smooth surface finish. For investment casting applications, PMMA patterns are printed and then burned out cleanly from a ceramic shell, leaving a cavity for molten metal.
